Welcome to our corner of British Columbia. Clearwater Christian Church is a fellowship of friendly people seeking to be Christians Only. We are located just off Old Highway 5 on Lodge Drive, and beside the Mohawk Gas Station. Just watch for the “OPEN SUNDAY” sign on the end of our building!
Clearwater is located in B.C.'s scenic North Thompson Valley on Highway 5, 120 km. from Kamloops. We are blessed with some of God's most beautiful creation. Wells Gray Provincial Park is located north of here, and it has become the destination of many travellers. Wells Gray is known as the waterfall park, and is also known for it's varied scenery and lakes.
Our church has it's heritage in the Christian Churches/Churches of Christ. We believe in the deity and Lordship of Jesus Christ, the inspiration of the Bible, and the autonomy of local congregations. The Lord's Supper is observed weekly as a focal point in our worship. The old slogan: “Where the Scriptures speak, we speak, and where the scriptures are silent, we are silent” is indicative of our position on theological matters. For us, the New Testament is our all-sufficient rule of faith and practice.
Historically, we have ties to the “Restoration Movement”, which was one of many movements which began in the 1800's which sought to bring the church back it's original mission and purpose. Our congregation is locally autonomous, but we enjoy a rich fellowship with all the Clearwater churches, and we enjoy a great relationship with other Christian Churches and Churches of Christ in Western Canada.
